NoShadow says Scavland was built with controller and Steam Deck support in mind, and that Steam Cloud lets a save move between PC and Deck. The Early Access feature list also names full controller support and Deck compatibility.

Developer-advertised compatibility and Valve’s Steam Deck Verified status are different claims. This guide uses the former until the live Steam interface displays the actual badge. It does not infer verification from marketing copy.
What to recheck after unlock
Controller prompts, text size, default layout, performance, battery behavior, cloud synchronization and any Proton-specific issues need hands-on or official post-launch evidence. Those results will be stamped with device and build context.
