Scavland Vulture approaching an NPC at a night camp

FIELD MANUAL // START HERE

Scavland Complete Guide

Scavland is built around preparation, risk and return: choose an objective, carry coverage for the environment, protect scarce resources and come back with enough value to go deeper next time.

The verified survival loop

Official material describes a Vulture working through a repeatable expedition cycle: prepare, explore, scavenge, survive, return, upgrade and go deeper. This guide uses that loop as its structure because it remains useful without pretending to know item statistics that have not been published.

Before leaving a settlement, decide what would make the trip successful. A contract run, reputation job, bunker descent and open-world survey create different planning pressure. The Expedition Planner turns those verified concepts into coverage checks without claiming a numerical chance of survival.

Choose a reliable route through the codex

Begin with the release and Early Access pages, then learn the major systems: arsenal reliability, faction relationships, the handcrafted surface, procedural bunkers, radiation and the Mist. Database pages will only expand when current records can be sourced field by field.

  • Use the beginner guide for a pre-expedition mental model.
  • Use weapons and attachments pages for verified system boundaries, not fictional catalogs.
  • Use factions, reputation, traders and contracts together; they describe one connected progression loop.
  • Treat surface mapping and procedural bunker interiors as different information problems.

EARLY ACCESS MAY CHANGE

What this guide refuses to guess

No faction names, weapon names, recoil values, attachment compatibility, trader stock, reputation thresholds, bunker routes, recipes or quest steps are published without current evidence. Unknown fields remain unknown. That restraint is a feature: it keeps the manual useful when Early Access changes the world underneath it.
